FWIW

I started this blog with two purposes. The first was a simple one. I have a very small memory and cannot possibly remember all the strange things that happen along the way that I want to tell people back home. Now if I write them down online the burden of memory is erased. The second was to avoid writing endless repetitive emails of 'how is life in Botswana?' which inevitably start out well written and interesting and slowly devolve into 'fine' depending on the order of responses for the day.

That being said, there is now a third purpose as it's tagged to the Fogarty blog... but I have not written it with the reverence and detail one would assume comes with an official blog.
